Wuhan Huangpi District People's Hospital is the only second-class comprehensive hospital integrating medical treatment, scientific research, teaching, prevention, health care and rehabilitation. The national "baby-friendly hospital" and the first batch of "second-class excellent hospitals" in Wuhan In August 2008, it was awarded the "National People's Reassuring Model Hospital" by the China Hospital Association.

The hospital covers an area of 147 acres, with a construction area of 78,000 square meters and 1,100 open beds. Now it is the district medical technology guidance center, 120 emergency center, 122 traffic accident joint rescue center, designated emergency medical treatment hospital, district medical insurance and new rural cooperative medical designated medical hospital. In 2009, it officially became the third affiliated hospital of Jianghan University. The name of Jianghan University was pioneered by reform and opening up, and was then inscribed by Comrade Hu Yaobang, the general secretary of the CPC Central Committee.
